I have over twenty eight years’ experience in the fitness industry and for seventeen years I have managed fitness clubs in the UK and Ireland. I qualified as a fitness instructor in 1991 (NCEF) completing my NCEF Level 2 Advanced Resistance Training in 1993. I also completed a three year Diploma in Leisure Management in 1996 and in 2006 I qualified as an NCEF Tutor. I hold S.M.B.L.A, (British Cycling Registered) Level 3 Kayak Instructor (Irish Canoe Union Registered), Mountain Leader (Mountaineering Ireland Registered), Remote Emergency Care Level 3, Occupational First Aid, I.A.W.L.A, and am the only qualified Master TRX Trainer in Ireland. In 2012 I travelled to Nepal and completed a 21 day trek to Everest Base Camp. An altitude of 5,360 metres. In June 2014 I kayaked with Diane around Ireland a distance of 1600K in 41 days. In June 2015 I cycled 2100k around Ireland in 7 days. In June 2016 I completed the Marmotte climbing Col du Glandon, Col du Telegraphe, Col du Galibier and Alpe D’Huez over 5000m in 11 hours. In June 2017 I cycled from Banff in Canada to Antelope Wells New Mexico a total distance of 4500k in 33 days. For the past twenty years I have specialized in functional training and injury rehabilitation. During this time I have studied every aspect of training and have developed a very unique and effective method of training which has given exceptional results in all areas of health and fitness. Having this level of understanding of anatomy, physiology and human movement, has allowed me a unique insight into injury prevention and rehabilitation.
